Chicago's Devon Avenue/Little India

Devon Avenue, in Chicago's West Rogers Park neighborhood is a true melting pot. From N. Kedzie to N. Western Avenues, you can travel around the world without ever leaving the Windy City. Having lived on Chicago's North Side all of my life, I remember when the businesses that lined Devon were predominantly Jewish. A few have survived to continue filling the neighborhood with their contributions to the sights, sounds and aromas that give the street an international flavour. Today, in the age of Wi - Fi and iPods, it fills the senses with the cultures of India, Pakistan, and, even, Russia.
